Nuevas matrices de sello en árabe de la Península Ibérica

Resumen El trabajo trata de dos nuevas matrices de sello con inscripción en árabe: una hallada en Aranzueque (Guadalajara), de cronología taifa y probable origen valenciano y otra de fecha similar que ha aparecido en la provincia de Castellón. De cada una ofrece los datos relativos al hallazgo, características formales y lectura de su inscripción e intenta situarlas en su contexto cronológico y social, atendiendo especialmente a la epigrafía. Retoma las monedas del tesorillo de Aranzueque y las compara con las de otros hallazgos de numerario; propone para ellas procedencia valenciana y modifica ligeramente su cronología. Abstract This article deals with two new metal seals with Arabic script found in the Iberian Peninsula that must be added to the small group of known pieces of this kind: one is kept in Guadalajara Museum and is part of the Aranzueque taifa hoard; the second one has been found somewhere in Castellón province. It gives about each one the information regarding its finding, formal features, the reading of its inscription and an attempt to set it in its chronological and social context, bearing especially in mind its epigraphical characteristics. It revisits the Aranzueque hoard coins and compares them with the coins found in other hoards; it proposes for them a Valencian origin and slightly modifies their chronology.
