The study of Álvaro Cunqueiro recreational selftranslationsleads us to question the idea of the version, eitherby being a higher standing text or by second original, dueto the fact that conceiving the start and finishing texts asnon-exchangeable versions of a single text minimizes thecharacteristics strictly linked both to that «second enunciation»implied in a translation and to the partial execersiceof hypertxt derive which leads to suppose the re-creation.Thus, it seems interesting to establish a scale that, withoutforgetting the need of considering the variables as a whole,distinguishes the internal coherence of the original version.key words: Self-translation, hypertext, interliterary process,Álvaro Cunqueiro
