Varieties Development: disputes, alternatives

Introduction to the concept of "varieties" of development and a new typology of disputes on development. Three types are recognized (I - controversies within a specific variety of development such as diverse capitalist strategies; II - debates between major varieties such as capitalist vs socialist; III - disputes with alternatives that are beyond all varieties of development). Example of the III type are disputes with Buen Vivir, the Andean alternatives.
