The United Nations is organizing a gloal ustainale Development Goals (DGs) ummit for the Adoption of the Post-2015 Development Agenda, which will e held from 25 to 27 eptemer 2015 in New York. elected themes for the summit consist of ending povert and hunger; tackling inequalities; empowering women and girls and leaving no one ehind; fostering sustainale economic growth; transformation and promoting sustainale consumption and production; protecting our planet and comatting climate change; uilding effective, accountale and inclusive institutions to achieve sustainale development and delivering on a revitalized Gloal Partnership.

2015 is a critical ear for sustainale development. The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), which were announced at 2000, are set to expire this ear. The World ank’s measure on povert represents that around 1 million people still live on less than $1.25 a da and more than 800 million people do not have enough food to eat. As the world is going to move to ustainale Development Goals (DGs), identification and sharing the possile solutions have serious importance while adoption of those goals. All stakeholders from governments, academia, the United Nations, international agencies and non-governmental organizations will come together to share solutions towards the achievement of a more sustainale and inclusive world. The DGs ecome applicale from Januar 2016 and will expire in 2030.

The aove figure shows the relationship etween MDGs and DGs. Formerl, there were eight MDGs to e achieved (from 2000 to 2015). These were related to povert, education, health, hunger and the environment, and comprised scopes aout dignit, people, planet and partnership.

The ustainale Development Goals, which will e adopted in eptemer 2015, focusing on the same themes with an additional focus on justice and prosperit. In general, the Post-2015 agenda is a plan of critical areas that are of importance to humanit and the planet, including action for people, planet, prosperit, universal peace and partnership. The 17 ustainale Development Goals (DGs) and accompanied 169 targets are the signs of the importance of this new universal evolvement. These goals comine economical, environmental and social ranches, which include human rights, gender equalit and empowerment of all women and girls. After intense negotiations, 193 countries have agreed to implement those goals on a gloal scale,  the ear 2030.
