Mode of action: Triazophos is an organophosphate insecticide and belongs to Acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitors. Triazophos is a broad-spectrum insecticide and acaricide with contact and stomach action. It is nonsystemic, but penetrates deeply into plant tissues. Deltamethrin is effective against insects via ingestion and direct contact. Pyrethroids, in general, interfere with normal production and conduction of nerve signals in the nervous system. Pyrethroids act on nerve membranes by delaying the closing of the activation gate for the sodium ion channel. Researchers distinguish between two classes of pyrethroids based on electrophysiological studies with nerves and symptoms of toxicity. Type II pyrethroids, including deltamethrin, have an α-cyano group that induces “long-lasting” inhibition of the sodium channel activation gate. This results in prolonged permeability of the nerve to sodium and produces a series of repetitive nerve signals in sensory organs, sensory nerves, and muscles. Researchers observed that deltamethrin and other Type II pyrethroids may also affect ion channels in the nervous system other than sodium channels, possibly due to their phosphorylation state. Recommendation : It is used to control spotted bollworm, pink bollworm, american bollworm, white flies in cotton; shoot and fruit borer, jassids, aphid, and epllachna beetle in brinjal crops. Crop

Aphid, Epllachna beetle Plant protection equipment: Knapsack sprayer, or power operated sprayers fitted with high or low volume nozzle is recommended. Preparation of solution: Add slowly the required quantitity to water and stir well with a stick or rod. While preparing large quantitity of spray solution, add solution to a bucket half-filled with water, stir and empty this prepared solution into bulk of water. Mode of action: Choline esterase inhibitor Phytotoxicity: The product is not toxic when used in field as per recommedation.

Precautions: Follow normal precautions – keep away from food stuff containers and animal food; avoid contact with mouth, eyes and skin; avoid inhalation of the spray mist; spray in the direction of wind; wash thoroughly the contaminated cloths and parts of body after spraying; do not smoke, drink, eat or chew while mixing and spraying; and wear full protective clothing while mixing and spraying. First aid: If the product gets into the eyes, rinse it out immediately with plenty of water for 10-15 minutes. In case of swollowing, eleminate active ingredient through inducing vomiting. If inhaled, remove patient to fresh air. Antidote: Inject atropine sulphate 2-4 mg and repeat every 5-10 mins till fully rinsed. Administer 1-2 mg of 2PAM dissolved in 10 ml of distilled water and inject very slowly for 10-15 mins. If necessary, give artificial respiration. Diagnose confirmed by estimated cholinesterase activity of blood. Treat symptomatically. Pack Size: Available in 100 ml, 250 ml, 500 ml, 1 L, 5 L & 10 L.
