This paper discussed ecological adaptability of Chinese film industry in transnational communication. It analyzed transnational films and data of box office revenues over the past 3-10 years, revealed the marginalized ecological position of Chinese films as "the other" in global market, meanwhile facing the predicaments of "being consumed" and "being dumped" in domestic market. Under dual hegemonies of Hollywood on cultural value and industrial competition, Chinese film industry needs to develop three dimensions transnational ecological adaptability: value accommodation for cultural ecological adaptability, aesthetic adaptive differentiation, and industrial ecological adaptability.
