Santiago de Chile
Days 1-5
Your journey starts in the interesting city of Santiago, the capital of Chile, and a place where the past lives in harmony with modern visions. After a tour of the historical and modern sights of the city, tourists are invited to visit Santiago at their own pace. You can choose from a variety of excursions that will lead your steps to discover the authentic stories of Chile and superb natural sceneries, including the mountains at Canon del Maipo and Andean landscapes, as well as coastal towns and local wineries.
Puerto Varas
Days 6-7
The next stop of your unforgettable journey will be the city of Puerto Varas, a picturesque city situated on the shores of Llanquihue Lake. Founded by German colonists in the 19th century, this city has kept its European charm and was enriched with local traditions. A great base for excursions and one-day trips, Puerto Varas will be the starting point for your boat trip to Peulla, a beautiful border town. The one-day trip will give you the opportunity to discover the Vicente Perez Rosales National Park and the Saltos de Petrohué. Once in Peulla, you're on your own to take in the sceneries and make unique memories.
Torres del Paine National Park
Days 8-10
Return to Puerto Montt Airport for a transfer to Punta Arenas, the starting point for your journey to Torres del Paine National Park, a wild paradise where Magellanic forests, barren pampa and turquoise lakes accompanied by enormous glaciers and sublime glaciers create breathtaking sceneries.
During your hikes in Torre del Paine National Park you will get a chance to meet and chat for a while with foxes, guanacos, woodpeckers, condors and other species (if they are in the mood for conversations). Two entire days are dedicated exclusively to this one-of-a-kind park and you will be free to spend them as you please or opt for organized excursions.
Tierra del Fuego Cruise, from Punta Arenas to Ushuaia
Days 11-16
Back to Punta Arenas for your transfer aboard M/N Via Australis, the cruise ship that will take you in places only few get to see and many dream about. The adventure starts on day 12, when the cruise ship "sets sails" and heads to the Strait of Magellan and Beagle Channel to unveil some of the most beautiful regions of our planet: Southern Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego.
This great adventure will be dotted with the spectacular appearances of glaciers, such as Marinelli Glacier in Ainsworth Bay, as well as the sight of a colony of elephant seals, Magellanic penguins and Cormorants that can be admired from Zodiac boats.
The Glacier Alley will mesmerize you with superb views of the Spain, Romanche, Germany, Italy, France and Holland glaciers. The journey through Beagle and Murray channels will eventually lead to Cape Horn National Park, Cape Horn being the interesting point where the Atlantic and Pacific oceans meet for a chat. An almost mythical place, known as the "End of the Earth", Cape Horn is today a World Biosphere Reserved.
The cruise ends at Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world, hence its name as "fin del mundo". Once you step on this magical land, new attractions and visits to national parks await.
Buenos Aires
Days 16-19
Argentina is calling for us and we will set our base in the colorful city of Buenos Aires. We will depart for Buenos Aires the same day we arrive in Ushuaia. The city is rich in sights and attractions, so you should be ready to spend 3 full days discovering its past and present stories (and since it was founded more than 400 years ago, the stories will be many, and the attractions to prove it - numerous).
Called also the "Paris of South America", due to its colonial buildings built following the French architectural style of the 1880s, Buenos Aires is a lively city, where tourists have the chance to attend ballet and opera performances, take tango lessons, discover the Argentinean Folk music, and spend fun nights in local bars and clubs. Of course, historical sights are a must see, especially the ones that evoke the story of Evita and Peronism. Day trips and excursions are available too.
It's time to return home now and tell your stories about this amazing adventure that carried you in mythical places.
