This is the Spanish translation (by Orion Vargas Velez) of an abridged version of "Irreconcilable Differences: The Uneasy Marriage of Science and Law." It argues that, while modern legal systems often rely on science, tensions between the culture of law---or at least,the culture  of the US legal system---and the character of science mean that the relationship is in many ways a troubled one..
