Therefore, my approach in this final chapter is twofold: I intend to consider some of Toner's specific contributions, which represent a true paradigm of the most recent study on the impact of disasters on Classical societies. Secondly, I willrespond to the question of whether the modern term humanitarian crises' can be applied to ancient disasters.
