So  get  out  your  best  shoes  and  pants  with  the  pleats,  its  time  to  be  social  and  go  out   To  the    street  while  embracing  the  beat  and  taking  your  feet  over  to  the  record  store   Because  real  music  exists  on  LP’s  and  the  vision  is  unique   Cassettes  and  Tape  Players  are  better  for  the  feet   And  inspire  me  to  live  stress  free  and  create  my  own  music  sheets     To  compete     With  other  artists  who  impress  people  with  beats.     No  One  has  a  contract  under  Itunes  and  Billboard     So  I  am  willing  to  face  them  and  tell  them  the  phony  attitude  is  making  me  bored   Plug  in  my  own  microphone  so  I  can  listen  to  music  at  home   While  creating  some  too   I  hope  all  those  liquidators  sell  back  and  get  screwed.   Creating  and  listening  to  music  may  settle  the  feud   But  listening  to  music  will  help  you  from  being  confused   So  don’t  feel  used  or  screwed   Its  time  to  listen  to  Blues   Rack  up  the  balls  on  the  way  home  from  the  record  shop   And  turn  on  the  juke  box  to  play  pool   These  are  different  ways  of  listening  to  music   That  I  suggest  to  you   Besides  support  your  local  record  store  and  the  impact  can  be  huge   Downloading  is  not  as  cool  as  buying  music  new   And  it  is  not  as  valuable  as  passing  by  shelves  with  tons  of  music  used   And  considering  it  for  your  meeting  ,  greeting  or  background  to  work  and   conversation,  turn  on  the  radio  and  employ  music  by  changing  the  station.   Music  is  valuable  without  downloading  and  when  I  am  on  the  lake  ,  I  prefer  to  keep   in  some  headphones  and  get  down  rowing  my  boat  across  the  musical  stream   So  let  the  music  stream  and  music  live  without  downloads   When  you  meditate  and  eat  with  music  you  can  exercise  your  mind  in  your  own   headphones   Every  time  you  run  around  your  neighborhood    run  through  your  zone  with  a  new   complete  statement  of  how  you  can  transfer  your  ringtone  from  your  brand  new  CD  

When  you  think  you  want  to  sit  at  home  and  download   Just  think  of  Me.   Aint  nothing  like  the  music   Im  not  sayin  your  computer  can  fuse  it   Not  sayin  your  computer  cant  use  it   But  its  better  for  you  to  handle  your  favorite  cover  and  make  a  mix  tape     For  the  group  it,  does  not  seem  worth  it    download  because  of  corporate  mistake   Aint  nothing  you  need  to  do  but  eat  music  with  a  steak.   Aint  nothing  like  the  music.

Music  was  once  there  before   Photos  imitated  stare   From  live  mutants  and  humans   The  sound  was  vast  and  through  the  choosing   Nobody  knows  how  you  can  lose  it     Like  the    sound  of  harps  and  angels     Youre  dead  without  the  music   Submit  to  your  program  don’t  jam,     Take  life  to  serious  and  abuse  it   But  just  remember  that    you  do  what  your  told  until  you  go  out     And  buy  music   They  don’t  know  why  I  even  choose  it   This  is  the  channel  Because  aint  nothing  like  the  music   I  wanna  put  it  on  and  groove  it   Because  aint  nothing  like  the  music.   As  time  went  on  Edison  built  the  moving  camera,  lights  and  action   But  people  put  on  his  phonograph   And  took  the  task  to  sing  in  Entertaining  not  just   Make  you  laugh   So  why  did  radios  bring  record  companies  and  stations   And  dancing  outdid  worrying  and  pacing,  round  and  round     Like  a  sucka   After  Show  tunes,  came  doowop  and  drumkits  and  covers   Instead  of  an  electronic  stamp  of  approval   Now  you  can  download  or  you  can  stream  and  turn  out  your  ears  to  a  record  store   headphone  sample  and  it  would  behoove  you   To  ride  thorugh  your  neighborhood  playing  rock  and  roll  and  disco   Do  your  hair  up  in  Crisco  

And  pay  for  Music  at  the  Club,  cologne  fresh  dressed  like  a  hero   So  don’t  be  a  boring  Nerd  and  nothing  but  a  less  Zero   Wear  a  fresh  suit  and    like  Deniro   Go  dancing  or  buying  LP’s  at  the  local  hero.   Listeners  invest  in  local  businesses  and  record  stores   And  wear  your  old  Walkman  from  ship  to  shores   Instead  of  downloading  your  song   Turn  that  tape  around  and  \lip  that  LP  double  and  Long   After  you  take  out  that  fresh  single,     Play  with  that  remote  and  eat  Pringles   Turn  on  that  jukebox  and  cue  a  pool  table   Turn  on  that  cassette  and  \lip  it    in  a  boombox  at  in  your  stable   Giving  horse’s  a  tune  to  lighten  up  the  room   and  go  down    like  Gulliver  in  a  fable   intellectually  turning  up  the  decibel   so  \ight  liquidation  like  the  union  and  you’re  a  rebel   Revel  in  the  sound  and  turn  your  ears  upside  down   By  going  to  where  you  can’t  refuse  it   Just  know  aint  nothing  like  the  music

This  project  has  taught  me  a  lot  about  organizing  my  thoughts  and  ideas  in  order  to   put  forth  a  PSA  that  I  have  been  thinking  about  for  some  time.  I  have  had  time  to   focus  my  ideas  in  order  to  organize  a  better  idea  and  to  make  for  myself  and  others  a   better  ideal  concerning  the  music  industry.  I  see  that  there  is  a  strong  sense  of   purpose  in  a  project  like  this  one  and  I  appreciate  the  idea  of  \inding  something  that   needs  an  improvement  in  the  industry  and  offering  to  \ix  it.    Fixing  an  outdated   problem  that  many  seem  to  ignore  or  put  off  on  someone  else’s  shoulders  seems  to   be  the  \irst  step  of  many  in  putting  together  an  actual  movement  and  making   working  in  the  industry  something  that  is  worth  while  and  bene\its  other  people   besides  one  self.   The  hardest  and  most  dif\icult  part  of  this  project  has  been  to  organize  my  research   on  the  subject  and  put  forth  the  ideas  in  a  way  that  is  communicable  to  others  on  a   subject  that  I  feel  is  extremely  important.    I  found  that  the  critique  of  the  others  and   from  the  teacher  made  it  easier  for  me  to  try  and  organize  my  ideas  and  keep  them   in  a  positive  outline.  Even  though  I  am  still  working  on  the  essay,  I  am  \inding  it  

useful  and  tons  of  hard  work,  to  put  forth  my  ideas  in  a  way  that  is  acceptable  to   others  and  to  format.    I  \ind  that  working  numerous  times  on  a  project  is  a  process  of   trying  to  perfect  certain  methods  and  is    a  way  of  knowing  ideas  better  than  be  mere   studying  but  by  writing.  I  have  had  a  fun  and  also  dif\icult  experience  writing    this   thesis    and  putting  forth  this  project  which  I  feel  has  a  lot  of  potential  and  needs  a  lot   of  PSA  and  exposure,  which  will  be  a  process  and  take  lots  of  time.  I  hope  to  continue   working  on  this  PSA  idea  in  a  number  of  different  ways  in  the  future  and  beyond.
