Sobre los confines del Gran Chaco

¿Qué es el Gran Chaco? La presente monografía busca responder esta pregunta abordando los conceptos históricos y biogeográficos de límite y frontera en relación al Gran Chaco: reflexionar sobre la contingencia y permeabilidad de dichos conceptos e identificar un paquete de referencias amplio que permita señalar aquel territorio, subrayar su importancia, denunciar su estado crítico. ABSTRACT What is the Gran Chaco? This paper seeks to answer such question by approaching the historical and biogeographical concepts of limit and frontier in relation to the Gran Chaco: reflect upon the contingency and permeability of these concepts and identify an ample set of references that would allow to singalize that territory, underline its importance, denounce its critical status.
