From a geoarchaeological perspective is carried out paleogeographic reconstruction of urban floodplain of Seville, from the Protohistory at the end of the Middle Age. We analyse the paleohidrographic evolution of the Guadalquivir River, and identify the harbour area of the Roman-medieval city as well as the ancient relationship established between urban development and evolution of the Guadalquivir floodplain. The different evolutionary phases of Seville alluvial plain it related with minor climatic variations and changes in sea level in the Gulf of Cadiz of the middle Holocene.
