"Park Avenue" is a documentary by Alex Gibney about Americas distribution of economy.
The documentary's main topic, is about the American dream where everything is possible, if you work hard enough. However, this kind of liberalism is concluded not to be true, because the economical distribution has developed into an enormous economic inequality. In the documentary the writer supports the theory that the government is corrupt. The theory is the main topic, because the population of America are very divided, economically. There is a huge difference in the social classes. The richest people are very rich, and the poorest people are very poor. America is being developed to a oligarchy again, like in the 30's.
In the documentary, the writer believes that the government is corrupt, because of the billionaires who pay the politicians to get influence on the power the politician will achieve. When the billionaires have power, they can have influence on the tax laws, which gives more money to the rich, but much less money to support the poorest. Therefore, there is a huge different between rich and poor, but the difference will only grow, as long as the taxes are so low.
