RES 55. El estudio socio-histórico de las emociones y los sentimientos en las Ciencias Sociales del siglo XX* The Socio-Historical Study of Emotions and Feelings in 20 th Century Social Sciences

El texto presenta una revisión de los principales debates teóricos y temáticos que se desarrollaron en las Ciencias Sociales, especialmente en sociología y antropología, a partir de la incorporación de las emociones y los sentimientos como categorías de análisis socio-históricas a lo largo del siglo XX. Aquí se propone una reflexión y un análisis bibliográfico de la comprensión de las emociones en estas disciplinas y en diferentes momentos de su desarrollo, a partir del estudio de un conjunto delimitado de autores. La idea que sostiene el texto es que la apertura de las Ciencias Sociales hacia este tipo de estudios se da cuando algunos autores se distancian de las dicotomías clásicas de la tradición positivista para establecer el vínculo entre los elementos físico-corporales, los hábitos psíquicos, y las formas sociales y culturales que subyacen al estudio de la sociedad. This article presents a review of the main theoretical and thematic arguments that were developed in the social sciences, especially in sociology and anthropology, since the incorporation of emotions and sentiments as categories of socio-historical analysis throughout the course of the 20 th century. It proposes a reflection on and a bibliographic analysis of the understanding of emotions in these disciplines at different moments of their development, based on the study of a selected group of authors. The guiding theme of the text is that the opening up of the social sciences to this type of studies began when certain authors distanced themselves from the classic dichotomies of the positivist tradition in order to establish the links among physical corporal elements, psychic habits, and the social and cultural forms underlying the study of society.
