In the present research we show the relationships between intellectual coefficient (CI), emotional intelligence (IE), sensitivity (PAS) and creativity (CREA) in 98 persons of the University of Extremadura (UEx). The relationships between the four test had been analyzed using different regression models with highly significant results (R 2 =0.892, F=764.6 of ANOVA with p-value < 2.2E-16). A high CI is positively associated to high levels of PAS. None of the factors linked to IE or CREA shows significant association with CI. We believe that this points to the genetic basis both of giftedness as of sensitivity. However, EI and CREA have a strong learning component that is mainly developed during infancy and adolescence. We believe that is urgent to develop a massive campaign of identification of gifted people in the UEx using the proposed model. With the selected candidates the psychologists could use official test of intelligence (WAIS, RIAS...). This identification is the key for a cognitive and emotional enrichment of the academic environment of gifted people that is guarantee of a correct equilibrium. This would allow an increase of efficiency in all the university community.
