REFORMA A LA NORMATIVA DE TRANSMISIÓN ELÉCTRICA, UNA MIRADA JURIDICA.

The Chilean regulatory change reflects the need for any rules to adapt to the current reality, technological changes and in the case of this paper, new forms of generation mechanisms that require a more efficient transmission system, and in turn, necessarily pay systems will be mentioned and ultimately, the system will change completely, looking to simplify and integrate the same current CDEC's.The bill amending the regulation of electricity transmission seeks transparency and simplify remuneration mechanisms of transmission, improve incentives for investment in efficient generation capacity and thus lower prices paid by users. To this end, the government bill proposes a system of rubber-stamping the remuneration of transmission is assigned based on energy consumption but independent of the distance it travels and effective use of networks. Furthermore it assigned full cost to consumers.
