¿Qué fue primero el huevo, la gallina o… el gallo? Educación, crecimiento y ahorro

Just a short and not very doctoral analysis about the no so clear causal relation between education, growth, and savings. I wandered about which of these socioeconomic variable comes first and the theoretical reasons of that specific causality. I tried to present some empirical evidence. I concluded that socioeconomic reality is not as simple as many macroeconomists continue suggesting. Nonetheless, I suggested a possible causality path that depends on the intertemporal scope of the analysis (long vs short term), that showed a very complex system of “unknown” interactions. For the time being, only the micro data analysis seem to provide a solid but complex framework of future investigation.
