Propuesta para la evaluación ambiental estratégica de zonas especiales de desarrollo sustentable (zEDES). Cuenca del río Unare, estados Anzoátegui y Guárico-Venezuela

The approach of the Strategic Environmental Assessment is used to identify potential environmental impacts associated with a proposal of agricultural systems and subsystems for ZEDES in the Unare basin. The emphasis is on downstream effects, because they could magnify the impacts already occurring in the coastal lagoon system of Unare-Píritu. For the impact identification on water bodies, a bibliographic search was carried out and the information was compared with the one gathered by interviews with inhabitants of La Cerca and Nuevo Unare.
