Presencia en la Península Ibérica de Scolia varicolor (Hymenoptera: Scoliidae)

Scolia varicolor Lucas 1849 is recorded from the Iberian Peninsula for the first time, based on material collected inAlmería province (south-eastern Spain). The first record of the species from Tunisia is also included, as well as descriptions ofthe new material, and an updated list is provided of the Iberian and Balearic species of the genus Scolia Fabricius 1775.
