PEGIDA is a local reaction to a global negative portrayal

Islamophobia and xenophobia are on the rise in Europe with a dramatic increase in the number of supporters of several far-right movements including PEGIDA. But Muslims and immigrants are not the only ones who feel threatened by the political agenda of these movements.
