Ocupaciones El Vergel en las costas septentrionales de la Araucanía: una secuencia cronológica por termoluminiscencia

In this paper is presented a set of archaeological surveys in the coasts of Araucanía and a chronological sequence by thermoluminiscence (TL) is discussed. We related the contexts associated to the 48 TL and postulated: (a) the presence of an early complex towards 400 years AD northern of Lebu, different from Pitrén (b) the greater antiquity, probably from the 600 years AD of the El Vergel Complex in the coasts of Arauco, (c) the coexistence of the El Vergel Complex and Pitrén until the 1.100 years AD to the south of Lebu and (d) the absolute disappearance of Pitrén Complex after 1.100 years AD. Obvious a greater set of TL is required to confirm or to reject to the suggestions and hypothesis thatwe formulated.
