NOTA SOBRE LAS ORDENANZAS MUNICIPALES DE FUENTE DE CANTOS DEL SIGLO XVI

ACTAS XVI JORNADA DE HISTORIA DE FUENTE DE CANTOS, 2016RESUMEN: Entre la documentación de un juicio de residencia de 1697 hallamos una copia de las modificaciones efectuadas de las Ordenan-zas municipales de Fuente de Cantos aprobadas por el rey Carlos I en una fecha que estimamos próxima a 1540. Este hallazgo nos ha permitido co-nocer trece capítulos y once adiciones del reglamento más preciado y espe-cífico que tuvo la villa durante el Antiguo Régimen. A través de ellos hemos podido aproximarnos a los usos agrarios dominantes en la época y a la preocupación por proteger los términos municipales, sustento de la eco-nomía local.ABSTRACT: Among the documentation of a trial of residence of 1697, we found a copy of the modifications made in the Municipal Ordi-nances of Fuente de Cantos passed by the king Carlos I at a time we esti-mate to be close to 1540. This finding allowed us to know thirteen chapters and eleven additions to the most valuable and specific regulations that the town had during the Old Regime. Through them we could make an approx-imation to the main agricultural uses of the time and the worry for pro-tecting the municipal area, which constituted the livelihood of the local economy.
