December 31st 2014 NEW YEAR EVE WCSA PRESIDENTIAL MESSAGE

Dear WCSA Fellow Members , VIPS and Friends, 2015 is approaching and will be a turning point and hopefully a tipping point for WCSA.

WCSA 2015 Agenda includes seven key points

1 the 6th WCSA conference to be held in Amsterdam in October The conference focus will be on the concept that to be a conscientious agent in contemporary scenarios involves the awareness of the complex systemic context and the non-linear interactions in which our attempts to build a better world integrate. To be aware of this complexity should prevent the naivety of not considering risks and contingency and is a first step to the development of successful strategic actions.

This conference challenges worldwide scholars, professionals , policy makers and businessmen sharing a systemic vision to, directly or indirectly, answer this question:

How a systemic vision can be a strategic and applied resource to develop more and more powerful links among Government Policymaking, Academic Research and Investment /Business Strategies ?

That is why the call is open to different kinds of systemic proposals:

The official language of the conference is English.

The purpose of this conference is to reach a multitasking and multidimensional audience composed from academics, professionals ,managers , entrepreneurs , investors to facilitate the matchfinding among strategic research , policy modelling institutional demand and investment / business ideas and plans. 3 The key partnerships with prestigious EU universities to shape task forces to apply for Horizon 2020 call to empower our fundrasising policy.

4 A greater and greater engagment with fellow academic organizations belonging the the INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION for SYSTEMIC RESEARCH and to the INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION of COMMUNICATION ASSOCIATION and moreover the open dialogues with the EUROPEAN SOCIOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION and the INTERNATIONAL SOCIOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION a WCSA is interdisciplinary , multidisciplinary and evolves its reearch and publishing programs by observing and constructing interdisciplinarity starting from a sociological perspective to develop powerful links among Government Policymaking, Academic Research and Investment /Business Strategies which links are the key focus of the whole 2015 WCSA agenda .

5 Our editorial policy will be more and more open to synergies with prestigious academic publishers also in terms of book series .

Moreover , ath the Amstedam Confeence we will present the 2013 WCSA TENERIFE YEARBOOK and the 2014 WCSA BUDAPEST YEARBOO , the former in print ,the second still in progress .

Beyond the 4 book collections WCSA alredy has , we are launching a call for book proosals mostly with Cambridge Scholar Publishing about Luhmann;' heritage. He died in 1998 and finally also his last key work apeared in English the two volume THEORY OF SOCIETY( Die Gesellschaft der Gesellschaft appeared originally in German in 1997.)

but I think WCSA might design a project and apply for funds to set an archive of works about Luhmann' s theory and also by launching a call for book proosals to encourge the production of further books about Luhmann' s theory , epistemological and applied.

Dear Colleague,

as the President of WORLD COMPLEXIY SCIENCE ACADEMY ( www.wcsaglobal.org ) I am delighted tom inform you that WCSA editorial agenda ( http://www.wcsaglobal.org/book-series/) is very open to consider editorial proposals focused on Systemic thinking in general and Luhmann’s paradigm in particular.

WCSA considers proposals in the following languages only :

English

Spanish

German

Italian

French

WCSA does not require a rigid template for submitting proposals as it is day by day expanding the agenda of publishers worldwide WCSA collaborates with.

Basically, an editorial proposal should include:

. a brief description of the book (including the type of academic readership it would appeal to);

.

a Table of Contents;

.

an indication of length (preferably a rough word count);

. an estimate of the number of photographs/illustrations to be included (or a statement that none are to be included);

. an academic CV (including a list of previous journal/book publications of the author,authors or editors, for collective books the cv of the editor in chief is enough);

.

one or two sample chapters (or a full list of chapter abstracts).

This can be submitted to me at any time, and I shall then pass it on to our editorial board for their review.

6 WCSA is empowering its relationships and win -win collaboration with SANTA FE ASSOCIATES INTERNATIONAL (SFAI) and HYPERCITIZEN INVESTMENT CLUB (HIC) to develop applied best practices of the wide horizon strategic and systemic vision for business and investment development and to evolve a WCSA influential trendsetting on public opinion to suport strategic policy modelling in the link among Government- University and Business as WCSA is more and more aware that H Index measures the impact of a scholar among its peers and that a ,let's say, celeb index is dramatically required(also by the EU) to measure the influence of a scholar on policymakers and public opinion

7 The design of a brand new, wide horizon systemic university able to let Government - Research and Investment converge is a pivotal project shared by WCSA , SFAI and HIC . The policy model

of this new univesity and its essential executive summary will be presented by the WCSA President at the WCSA General Assembly in Amsterdam as an epilogue of the 2014-15 /starting point of the 2016-17 WCSA Ececutive Policy. The next foundation steps of this new university will be possible as soon as the WCSA Amsterdam Assembly( and the assemblies of the felow organizations in partnership with WCSA) will approve the executive summary and its fundraising policy

As you can see 2015 looks great and full of evolutionary chances for WCSA , its members and partners .
