Metodología para el análisis y cuantificación de la trata de esclavos hacia la América española en el siglo XVI

This paper analyses the methodologies used by the historians in order to calculate the volume of the slave trade to the Spanish Americas in the Sixteenth Century. Besides, the different approaches implemented by the traditional historiography in the use of primary sources are confronted by the author with a new look.
