Contact: [email protected] Abstract — We report on the fabrication and optical properties of etched Ge33As12Se55 chalcogenide planar waveguides. These show optical losses as low as 0.27dB/cm at 1550nm, the lowest ever reported, and are therefore of significant interest for planar non-linear optics.
