Los Maquiavelos de Strauss y Skinner

Resumen: Ese artículo aporta dos corrientes de interpretaciones distintas sobre Maquiavelo, personificadas en los nombres de Leo Strauss y Quentin Skinner. Empiezo por observar la manera que ellos manejan los escritos del autor florentino y en seguida profundizo el análisis de sus obras sobre él. Después analizo algunos puntos clave de discordancia entre sus posicionamientos y presento un abordaje general del pensamiento del autor renacentista, exponiendo como las corrientes académicas de la actualidad tienden a interpretarlo.Abstract: This article analyzes two main currents of different interpretations about Machiavelli. Those held by Leo Strauss and Quentin Skinner. I start by observing how they look the writings of the Florentine author and later onI go deep in the analysis of their works about him. After that I analyze some controversial aspects between their positions, and I present a general approach about some aspects of Machiavelli's thought, showing how the academic currents of our time tends to interpret him.
