Valuation of the terminology and the sources used in the composition of theFundamenta medicorum of the physician Álvaro of Castro, voluminous work that remainsunpublished in the Library of the Cathedral Chapter of Toledo. The Fundamenta are amedical work organized as a lexicon, which includes the fundamental concepts of theMedicine in the moment of his composition (in the early Sixteenth century). We valuespecially the influence of Ancient Medicine in this work and the degree of assimilation ofthe Greek and Latin models, and of the Medieval tradition.
