Marginal without being peripheral, connectedyet temporally dislocated, infrastructured yetatavistic, the province continues her changingjourney of conformity, populism and suffering,but also set of bizarre find, ancient culture andsocial patterns counter-intuitive. Beyond thedichotomy between city and suburb, locatedin the depths of a technological territory, butfragmented, exasperating in its slowness andeven in its “horror”, the province ranks as atheoretically incognitum subject. Even at thelevel of empirical exploration, the infra-ordinaryterritory of the province is generally away fromthe gaze of intellectuals and accredited journalists,except for those few who specialize in beingits ‘spokespersons’, often ending up in more orless deliberately giving in to the register of thepicturesque and the caricaturist.
