Las revistas de investigación de Arquitectura y Urbanismo: adaptación de una especificidad temática a los procesos de evaluación

The Comisión Nacional de la Actividad Investigadora (CNEAI) recognizes specific criteria in subfield 6.3 "Architecture, Civil Engineering and Urban Planning" for the assessment of journal articles. Since 2006, new indices are introduced -Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals, Architectural Publications Index of the Royal Institute of British Architects and Arts & Humanities Citation Index-, to complement the best-known Journal Citation Reports. Index records from 2006-2012 are analysed, the aim is to obtain an overview of the evolution of architectural research through published articles. The procedure examines the admission requirements of these indices, their visibility, and the characteristics of periodicals collected. The paper shows inequalities between indices analyzed, such as a low percentage of publications with research journal profile.
