The transition of communities from appropriating economical way to agricultural forms has been a center of interest to researchers in different times and regions. Since the second half of the twentieth century that interest has increased in Caribbean archeology, which has led to the breakdown of old schemes characterising human communities traditionally considered "archaic" for archeology of this space. It is one of the pioneering studies in this stream of new ideas and focuses on the characterisation of the processes of incipient neolithisation with emphasis on ceramics and settlement patterns these groups.
