La Tecnología Lítica durante la Ocupación Inka en la Quebrada de Humahuaca (Provincia de Jujuy, Argentina)

This paper shows an aspect scarcely developed in studies of Inka’s domination at the Northwestern Argentina (NOA), such as lithic technology. In this particular case, the results of the analysis of the lithic artefacts manufactured on non-local raw material from two settlements belonging to the Inka period at the Jujuy province of Argentina are presented.Namely Los Amarillos, located at the north of the Quebrada de Humahuaca and Esquina de Huajra posited at the southern section. The study of the technical and typological attributes of the lithic assemblages from both sites allowed to corroborate some tendencies that have been reached individually by the authors in relation to the circulation of exotic lithic resources and the production of projectilepoints, during the state economy.
