RESUMEN: La cuestión de si la Sonata de Liszt es o no es narrativa todavía aqueja a los analistas. Sin necesidad de un argumento externo, sin programa, Liszt demuestra que la música contiene poder narrativo en sí misma, siendo sus actores los temas musicales. La Sonata también refleja arquetipos muy antiguos de la conciencia humana: la batalla contra el monstruo interior, la redención del alma, la Arcadia espiritual... ABSTRACT: The search of narrative identity in Liszt's Sonate is still an ancient and unresolved matter between analysts. On one hand, Liszt demonstrates that the music contains enough narrative power itself in spite of using neither an external argument nor a program but considering the musical themes as actors. On the other hand, this Sonate also reflects some old human conscious archetypes such as the fight against the monster inside each person, the redemption of the soul and the spiritual Arcadia.
