La Santa Muerte: Entre el Complejo de Edipo y la Formacion del Superyo para Klein

The following projects develops a psychoanalytic reflection of the veneration of the Santa Muerte and how it can be related to the formation of the superego according to Melanie Klein's theory. In order to make this analysis, a brief description of the divinity of the Santa Muerte is detailed and the different ways it is venerated. Followed by the description, a psychoanalytic theoretical framework is described that touches upon the freudian and klenian formation of the superego through the Oedipus Complex. The results of the reflection are linked to unconscious wishes of death by its followers and how they can be related with the development of a punitive superego.
