Resumen: En este artículo se analiza cómo y porqué surgieron los estudios de tecnología lítica en Prehistoria, así como cuáles han sido sus principales aportaciones metodológicas e interpretativas. A continuación, se presentan las líneas actuales de estudio de esta corriente en Prehistoria. Finalmente, se plantean una serie de reflexiones, a modo de conclusión, sobre su aplicación y alcance interpretativo. Abstract: This article analyses how and why the studies on lithic technology appeared in Prehistory as well as their main methodological and interpretive contributions. Here the current ways of study of this tendency in Prehistory are shown. To conclude, several reflections on their application as well as their interpretative scope are presented.
