La memoria en la modernidad: Charles Baudelaire y la fotografía

Resumen: Charles Baudelaire, aunque conocido por una postura crítica frente a la fotografía, no vacila en emplear el procedimiento para construir y difundir su imagen en las catorce fotografías tomadas entre 1855 y 1864 en los ateliers de Félix Nadar, Étienne Carjat y Charles Neyt. El escritor y la fotografía establecerán a través de la memoria un vínculo ambiguo. En este artículo analizamos la poética baudelairiana a través de una perspectiva interdisciplinaria que combina el lenguaje de la literatura y de la fotografía. Como marco teórico utilizaremos el análisis marxista de Walter Benjamin y la teoría pragmatista peirciana de Philippe Dubois.Palabras clave: memoria, poesía, fotografía, Charles Baudelaire.Abstract: Even though Charles Baudelaire is known for his critical view of photography, he uses the process to build and spread his image in the fourteen photographs taken between 1855 and 1864 in the ateliers of Félix Nadar, Étienne Carjat and Charles Neyt. The writer and the photography will develop through memory an ambiguous relationship. In this article we analyse Baudelairian poetics by an interdisciplinary perspective that combines the language of literature and photography. We will use as theoretical framework Philippe Dubois’s piercian pragmatic approach and Walter Benjamin Marxist theory.Key words: memory, poetry, photography, Charles Baudelaire
