This is a translation of  a slightly abridged version of "The Integrity of Science" (2006).After distinguishing various meanings of "integrity," and identifying some key values of science,  Haack tackles questions about the state of science today.  Besides the sheer scale of today's science she argues, commercial, political, and career pressures are putting the social mechanisms on which the scientific community relies to encourage honesty and evidence sharing are under severe strain.Spanish translation by Irene Martinez Peyrot.
