La contribución de la Arqueología Forense en la lucha contra el olvido.

In this work we try to present our views on the role played by forensic archaeology in efforts to “recover the historicmemory.” First we explain the academic and social causes that arise the exhumation of graves of Civil War in context ofand justify use of this discipline in archaeological studies. Then we discuss various protocols exhumation of mass gravesused internationally and finally we will briefly review of the most common techniques used to identify the bodies found and thetype trauma they suffered, all while we focus on forensic character of this studies showing that the remains found may constituteevidence crimes against humanity. Also, in this work we try to make an assessment of how this practice has been articulated inthe Spanish state, in addition to a reflection of archaeologist role both in relation to its subject matter and in relation tosocial problems whose work helps to meet. All this without forgetting that exhumation of bodies of archaeological methodology repressedpart of a great blend of scientific and social initiatives to rebuild our recently past in favour of all those men and women who suffereddefeat in war and subsequent repression.
