Resumen: Se presenta la documentación de la imagen del Ángel Custodio de la Prioral de El Puerto (1643). Además del estudio histórico-artístico de la talla, se incluyen datos sobre la cofradía de la que fue titular, la capilla en que se venera y el autor de la escultura, Francisco Pérez de la Puerta. Se trata de la única obra conservada hasta el momento de este artista, formado junto a Juan de Mesa en Sevilla pero afincado en Cádiz en torno al segundo tercio del siglo XVII.Abstract: We present documentation of the image of the Guardian Angel of the Prioral of El Puerto (1643). In addition to the historical and artistic study of the statue, we provide information about its brotherhood, its chapel and its author, Francisco Perez de la Puerta. Until now, it is the only extant work of this artist, who trained with Juan de Mesa in Seville and was living in Cadiz around the second third of the seventeenth century.
