Korsbaek, L. (2016). La justicia y la política al margen del Estado. Un experimento etnográfico

Resumen: El texto discute brevemente la etnografía del estado tal como se hace en el marco de la Escuela de Manchester. Como preámbulo se presenta dicha Escuela, señalando su lugar en la tradición británica en la antro-pología, se presentan también brevemente las diversas ideas que se tiene del estado en las diferentes disciplinas y qué se entiende por etnografía. Después de esos preámbulos se discuten los principales autores de la Escuela de Manchester que se han dedicado a estudiar etnográficamente al estado: Bruce Kapferer. En la breve conclusión se resalta en contadas palabras la importancia de la etnografía del estado. Abstract: The text is a brief discussion of the ethnography of the state, such as this is carried out within the Manchester School. The principal characteristics of the Manchester School are presented, together with the School's place in the Bri-tish anthropological tradition, and after this it is discussed briefly how the different disciplines perceive the state, it is made explicit what is understood by ethnography and by ethnography of the state. The principal chapter is a discussion of the most important authors of the Manchester School who have directed their attention toward the state: Max Gluc-kman, Jaap Van Velsen, Clyde Mitchell, Peter Worsley, Victor W. Turner y Bruce Kapferer. The brief conclusion turns around the relevance and the importance of the ethnography of the state.
