Being Eastern countries, a colonized stigma, a stranger, the object, a well-told side, would never be vanished by the time, though colonialism was over. Based on Postcolonial perspective, the Western presence as the colonist, self, the observer, the subject, and the narrator which used to be regarded superior compared to the Eastern. The relation happened between the colonist and colony was hegemonic, finally, flare up predominance and subordinate. These predominance and subordinate patterns were interposed on Indonesia general election 2014 reportage as the Eastern countries, written by Voice of America (http://www.voaindonesia.com) which represents the Western side. Voice of America (VOA) itself is an American multimedia broadcasting company, which is undertaken by the government through Broadcasting Board of Governors consists more than 45 afiliation countries, include Indonesia. To unravel this inequality relationship between Western and Eastern, this research is conducted using critical discourse analysis by Theo Van Leeuwen. Based on Leeuwen perspective, the authority is not just work through legal formal, law, national institution, but also operating through discourses. This research will enrich analitical review about Western hegemony, in which, will be taken as the attempt to eternelize Western presence as the superior to the colonies through written form.
