Intervención arqueológica de urgencia en el solar de la futura \"Ciudad de la Justicia\" (Cádiz) (2010)

Resumen: Presentamos un breve resumen de los trabajos desarrollados en el solar de la futura “Ciudad de la Justicia” en la ciudad de Cádiz. Los resultados de las excavaciones han sacado a la luz un sector de la necrópolis tardopúnica, republicana y altoimperial de la ciudad lo que ha posibilitado la documentación de buena parte de los tipos de enterramientos propios de la necrópolis gaditana, algunos de ellos desconocidos hasta el momento. Al mismo tiempo, gracias a la extensión excavada, se ha confirmado la estructuración espacial de la necrópolis, separándose las áreas en las que se encuentran los enterramientos de aquellas que presentan otras estructuras edilicias y en las que hubieron de tener lugar distintas actividades rituales de tipo funerario.Palabras clave: “Ciudad de la Justicia” – Cádiz – necrópolis tardopúnica-republicana – necrópolis altoimperial – enterramientos – estructuras anexasAbstract: This paper resume the fieldwork carried out in the site of the future “Ciudad de la Justicia” at Cádiz. The excavations have brought to light sectors of the Late Punic, Republican and Early Imperial necropolis. These findings have permitted to provide evidence of the majority of the burials representatives of the Cadiz necropolis, a number of them unknown up till now. At the same time, thanks to the great extension excavated, it has been possible to confirm the spatial structure of the necropolis, and then to distinguish the areas lodging burials from those where it has been founded building structures, what it means the developing of funerary rituals.Keywords: “Ciudad de la Justicia” – Cádiz – Late Punic-Republican Necropolis – Early Imperial Necropolis – burials – annexes building structures
