HORIZONTAL MODEL STUDY

For these vertical model and horizontal model study, I’ve experienced and learned the definition of creating the space in both vertical & horizontal shapes. Materials: Bristol Board Glue Tape

MODEL 1: ORGANIZING PRINCIPLES For this model, I learned about organizing a series of elements by creating the space with configuration. The configuration I picked is clustered. I also took the opportunity of clustered configuration to create the negative/positive space as the shown model. My idea with this model’s figure is I can turn and use any side to place it. I call it as multi-sided space.

For this model, I learned to create space with concept and a main focal point view. I created the space with “x-ray” open in the middle to have it open as the focus view in the linear place. Materials: Bristol Board Glue Tape

MODEL 4: RETAIL STORE - STUDY MODELS

The store I was assigned to do has the long term history of the business. I took its business background as my concept following with the movement of the sport, Snowboarding. MODEL 4: PROJECT MODEL The stripes are my main focused design, which are connected between the spaces. From the reception desk, the stripes will lead the customers go to either repair space or retail space. Furthermore, the stripes are the connection of the stairs, hand railing, and the tables, so the customers’ view will focus and follow with the stripe structure to their destinations.
