INFLUENCIA DEL RIEGO EN EL COMPORTAMIENTO DE TRES HÍBRIDOS TENERA

que se encuentra a 264 msnm; se estudió el efecto de la aplicación del riego en tres híbridos Tenera (INIAP, IRHO y ASD) de Palma Aceitera, para lo cual se empleó un diseño de Parcela Dividida; se ubicó en la, parcela grande al factor Riego y los híbridos se ubicaron en la Subparcela; el número de repeticiones fue de tres. Las variables evaluadas fueron: diámetro de la base del estípete, altura de planta, emisión foliar, diámetro de la corona foliar, área foliar y relación sexo, así como el establecimiento de los costos de los tratamientos en estudio. Considerando que los resultados obtenidos corresponden al segundo año de investigación de un macroproyecto que durará 12 años; se observo que en ninguna de las variables se detectó significancias estadísticas para el factor riego. Para el factor híbridos se detectó significancias estadísticas para las variables: emisión foliar y diámetro de la corona foliar, para la época uno; mientras que, para la época dos no se detectó significancias estadísticas para la variable relación sexo, se detectó alta significancia para la época uno; mientras que para la época dos se detectó significancia estadística. En todas las variables los coeficientes de variación estuvieron dentro de rangos aceptables para este tipo de investigaciones. SUMMARY This research as part of a long term project (12 years) related to irrigation was conducted in the Oil Palm Research Center (CIPAL) belonging to the National Association of Oil Palm Producers (ANCUPA), located in " La Concordia " , Ecuador. The experimental site is at 264 meters above sea level, 24.2 ºC average temperature, and 2881.2 mm average annual precipitation. The main objective of this research was to evaluate the effect of irrigation application on three oil palm Tenera hybrids (INIAP, IRHO and ASD). A divided plot design of three reps was used with two study factors: irrigation located in the large plot, and hybrids located in the sub-plot. The variables considered in the study were: diameter of the plant trunk, plant height, leaves emission, diameter of the leaves around the plant " circle " , leaves area, and sex relation. The treatment costs were also included. As this study is only in its second year of experimentation, is premature to issue conclusive results. However, is necessary to emphasize some partial results. The statistical analysis of the variables did not detected statistical differences for the irrigation factor. For the hybrid factor, and first season, statistical differences were detected for the variables: leaves emission and diameter of the leaves around the plant " circle " , whereas for the season two, statistical differences were not detected. For the sex relation parameter, high statistical difference was detected in the first season, whereas for the season two only statistical differences was detected.
