Descripción

This paper is to explain the results of the preliminary study phase about an Iron Age settlement in the southern foothills of the Loarre mountain range, on the slopes of a prominent small high point between the River Gallego ́s valley and the mountain range. The data obtained in the last four archaeological campaigns draw an interpretative line that leads us to talk about an urban settlement of the second half of the  first Millenium before the Age. There have been detected some rectangular areas in shaped, whose building still keeps some stone baseboards, tamped earth walls and a simple roof lean on wooden beams. Its town planning know up to now shows its adaptation to the relief of the ground based on the elevation and a rami cation of cobbled streets, that do not con rm the existence of any central element yet, although it must not be excluded. The nature and manufacture of the remains found up to now allow us to think about this settlement as a contact point for exchanges of singular relevance that go beyond of the called prestige items, even its production mechanisms. The Huesca Museum is the institution that has promoted this project which covers the whole research: means, archaeological team, analytics, as well as the consolidation and restoration sources for the archaeological  finds. Besides, we are also developing a public diffusion strategy in scientific publications, as well as to the public by means of temporary and permanent exhibitions in the Museum of Huesca, too.
