Fútbol global e identidades nacionales en 1925: la gira del Club Atlético Boca Juniors en España a través de su impacto en la prensa

¿Qué papel desempeñó el fútbol durante la Dictadura de Primo de Rivera (1923-1930) en España? Éste es uno de los cuestionamientos que intenta resolver este artículo. Su objetivo es presentar el impacto de la primera visita de un club argentino a España, el Club Atlético Boca Juniors, en la prensa española de 1925. A nivel metodológico, se revisó la bibliografía y las principales revistas y periódicos españoles, tanto deportivos como de información general. Se demuestra, como conclusión general, el interés que despertó entre los aficionados españoles y argentinos la gira del Boca Juniors, mostrándola como una ocasión para subrayar a través del fútbol la propia identidad nacional y las relaciones globales. *What role did football play during the dictatorship of Primo de Rivera (1923-1930) in Spain? This is one of the questions that this article attempts to resolve. Its objective is to present the impact of the first visit to Spain on the part of an Argentine club, the Boca Juniors Athletic Club, as reported in the Spanish  press in 1925. At the methodological level, a review was done of the general bibliography and of the main Spanish magazines and newspapers, both in terms of sports and general information. It demonstrates, as its general conclusion, the interest that the Boca Juniors’ tour sparked among Spanish and Argentinian fans alike, showing this to be an occasion for asserting both national identity and global relations through football.
