Exemplo e atualidade de Manuel Alvarez Bravo

Este artigo pretende apresentar e problematizar algumas das características primordiais das imagens produzidas pelo fotógrafo mexicano Manuel Alvarez Bravo, salientando a originalidade do caráter narrativo de sua produção imagética, eminentemente de cunho modernista. Pretende-se também discutir algumas de suas filiações estéticas e políticas, sem contudo apartar estas esferas do campo de sua produção artística. Abstract: This article intends to present and problematize some of the core characteristics of the images produced by the Mexican photographer Manuel Alvarez Bravo, underscoring the originality of the narrative character in his modernist imagery. Some of his artistic and political filiations will be discussed, attempting to connect them with his artistic oeuvre.
