ETNOGRAFÍA DE LA GESTIÓN COLECTIVA DE POLÍTICAS ESTATALES EN ORGANIZACIONES DE DESOCUPADOS DE LA MATANZA-GRAN BUENOS AIRES-

In this article, I show some of the results of an anthropological fieldwork that I carried out in LaMatanza – Greater Buenos Aires Area, between April 2002 and March 2006. In that frame, Iobserved the everyday activities developed by neighbourhood groups linked to unemployedpeople’s organizations. In that regard, this article aims at analyzing the everyday practices thatare entwined with the collective negotiation of State-run programs. Particularly, this articlereconstructs the activities of a group of people belonging to one of organizations under study,who were in charge of the administrative tasks required by the normative that framed the Staterunemployment programs. The article contends that the complexity of that process of technicalspecialization and knowledge appropriation turns the theoretical frontiers between State andsocial movements extremely blurred.Keywords: State policies; Social Movements; Unemployed People’s Organizations; CollectiveNegotiation; Ethnography.
