ESTADOS SEÑORIALES Y TIPOLOGÍA DE LAS FORTIFICACIONES BAJOMEDIEVALES DEL ENTORNO PACENSE

Resumen La articulación de los territorios adscritos a los estados señoriales bajomedievales del entorno de Badajoz, se basó en una estructura jerarquizada del espacio, fundada en la relación de carácter asimétrico entre un núcleo central y su periferia. La nueva infraestructura castral generada por este proceso, a partir de una tipología base común, refleja esta dualidad en la configuración de subtipologías específicas para el centro-capital del estado señorial y sus áreas periféricas. Abstract The articulation of territories assigned to the manor states of the Late Middle Ages in the environment of Badajoz, was based on a hierarchical structure of the space in which a central core dominates peripheral areas. The new fortifications constructed during this process, from a common typology, develops subtypes specific for the capital of the manor state and its outlying areas.
