A new season of archaeological excavations in the Valle Salado (Salt Valley) has enabled important remains of the medieval exploitation phase to be documented (specifically that dating from between the 9th and 13th centuries AD). Production structures of exceptional construction quality have been recovered in an excellentstate of conservation, revealing new techniques that have not been documented in the part. This has enabled us to improve our knowledge of the construction and exploitation techniques used in the salt works during a period which, until now, had only been known through written sources
