ELECCIONES EN TURQUÍA: EL TRIUNFO DEL CONSERVADURISMO

Turkey is currently living one of the most unpredictable periods in its turbulent political history. The result of the last elections, held on 1 November, again gave victory to the party of Justice and development (AKP), led by Ahmet Davutoğlu, with an absolute majority of 50% of the votes. This analysis is intended to frame prior to the elections to, subsequently, to assess the possible political scenarios to materialize the outcome of legislative elections. This document, will also examine the geopolitical consequences that these election results lead, with special emphasis on the Syrian conflict and their intertwined political actors, Islamic State and Kurdish militias.
